BASET (large, sisal)

A handmade, sturdy, robust, long-lasting, and high quality minimalist cat scratching post.

This model is named "Baset", an Egyptian goddess depicted with a head of a domesticated cat. She was goddess of pregnancy and childbirth, and protector of the king.

The BASET is made to be robust and long-lasting, with my very special organic Madagascan 12mm sisal rope which is the best your cat will ever get its claws into. It is fixed to the pole all the way up and will never unravel. The post comes in two pieces and screws together in 30 seconds flat without the need for tools.

The sisal rope I use is really good. It's light in colour, dense, heavy, tough, "un-hairy", non-toxic, and produces very little debris when scratched.
The base has eight rubber pads so that it will stay put.
