CATTAN (huge, hemp)

A handmade, sturdy, robust, long-lasting, and high quality minimalist cat scratching post.

This model is named "Cattan", a Scottish clan the chieftain of which was known as The Great Wild Cat.

The CATTAN is made to be robust and long-lasting, with my very special European 8mm hemp rope. It is fixed to the pole all the way up and will never unravel. The post comes in two pieces and screws together in 30 seconds flat without the need for tools.

The hemp rope I use is really good. It's a lovely, earthy colour and is soft to the touch, yet strong. Note that the hemp contains no psychoactive compounds, so your cat won't get the munchies any more than normal.
The base has eight rubber pads so that it will stay put.
