A handmade, sturdy, robust, long-lasting, and high quality minimalist cat scratching post.
This model is named "Cattan", a Scottish clan the chieftain of which was known as The Great Wild Cat.
The CATTAN is made to be robust and long-lasting, with my very special European 10mm cottonrope. It is fixed to the pole all the way up and will never unravel. The post comes in two pieces and screws together in 30 seconds flat without the need for tools.
The cotton rope I use is really good. It's beautifully white and soft, but strong enough to withstand a good scratching. The base has eight rubber pads so that it will stay put.
