This model is named "Freyja", a Norse goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, who rode a chariot pulled by two cats.
The FREYJA is made to be robust and long-lasting, with my very special Madagascan 12mm sisal rope which is the best your cat will ever get its claws into. It is fixed to the pole all the way up and will never, ever unravel. The base is wide enough to prevent it from being pulled over.
It comes in three pieces - a base, post, and platform, which all screw together without the need for tools. The post can be unscrewed, turned over and re-attached to give it a couple more years of life. The platform gives your cat a perch or a place to snooze.
The sisal rope I use is really good. It's light in colour, dense, heavy, tough, "un-hairy", non-toxic, and produces very little debris when scratched.
The base has eight rubber pads so that it will stay put.
